Just been out for a run and to fine tune the light pattern. First impressions are that they are brighter than the Phillips X-treme bulbs previously fitted but only marginally so IMHO. Personally I think I will stick with the Phillips X-treme bulbs in the future, as they are nearly as bright at a 1/3 of the cost of the PIAA ones.

but how long will the phillips last ?
In my book - philips make video recorders, PIAA make bulbs ... bit like the Nikon/Cannon argument: Nikon make cameras, Cannon make photocopiers |

Acording to the box for the Philips: 400-500 hours. Lifetime does't really worry me much personally as I don't drive in the dark often.

The PIAA bulbs should be longer life with the higher price (I would hope!) But the Philips is a reasonable price IMO £60 is a bit steep

You are right £60 is a bit steep. I got a discount on mine but they were still up there.
I'm going for some LED Headlights next month so I'll swap the crystals and bulbs into my 90 ... |

Nice When fittint the crystals over and removing the old lights is it a straight swap? i.e. just removing the one screw removing old assembly and then fitting the crystal's in. Without fiddling with angle adjustment as that would be a pain!
