Window frame corrosion question | |
I had to do an emergency windscreen seal-up a few weeks ago when the floor was badly flooding. Problem was I had to do it when everything was wet. It will be several weeks before I can take it all to pieces and do a proper (dry) job (new rubber seal, Arbomast etc.)
Does anyone know if the frame could rot inside the wet seal during this time or is the alloy more resistant than that?
Otherwise I'd better get a garage on the job right quick
Cheers for any advice or reassuring words,
Matt

Yes not good sealing in water, the frames do rust quickly, at least you will have piece of mind once it has been taken out, dried and sealed properly
