2009 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 XS DCPU Tonga Green

Earth Straps

Good evening ladies and gents,

After some recent work by a dealer (Tx box and changing the ABS modulator) I got another fault..... this has been caused by an earth fault.

The battery -ve terminal goes to the G-box.... but it seems the earth strap that then goes to the bulkhead is loose and causes lights to flicker etc. I have manufactured a other earth strap for now which is doing the job but would like to rectify the original one

Where does it route from and to? (My Topix has run out and should renew at some point

!!!!

I have found the fault..... When they changed the T-box they disconnected the earth from the battery to the G-box..... including the 'clamp' which isnt a clamp but is a earth point that attaches to the chassis!!! Bloody LR!!!

On ther plus side, the Ute is running a treat now with no warnings or other anomilies
