Wiper Motor
I think my wiper motor is fooked. Keeps blowing fuses and doesn't move wipers.

How long a job is it to remove the motor?

Any tips on how to do it? No idea where it is (but thats 'cos I haven't looked yet).

Many thx
Mike.

yep dashboard jobby Crying or Very sad its not to hard all you need is a screwdriver top dash section remove heater vents and 3 big screws 1 either end and one in middle then depending if late dash or early take the black plastic piece out not the center console were the radio is however that stays in ( the silver part in the picture stays) then remove the speaker and that section of the dash as that is only screwed on seperatly Thumbs Up

Depends on the age of the TD5. If its pre 2002 then its very easy, if its post 2002 the a little more difficult. No need to take the dash off though. Once a few bits are off and the screws are taken out there is enough give in the dash to get the motor out without removing the dash. Once you have done it once its easy!

Pete.

before you go the new motor route just check the spindles that come through the bulkhead havent seized.

remove motor and try and actuate the worm by hand, if it doesnt turn the spindles then change them, only about £7 each but that is a dash off job! Cheers

This is exactly what happened to me on my 03 plate TD5 90 2 days before the MOT!!

Had spindles replaced and all's well now.
