ive got a nasty feeling its a dash off job. I had to get my screen washer replaced last winter and they removed the dash to do that

yep dashboard jobby its not to hard all you need is a screwdriver top dash section remove heater vents and 3 big screws 1 either end and one in middle then depending if late dash or early take the black plastic piece out not the center console were the radio is however that stays in ( the silver part in the picture stays) then remove the speaker and that section of the dash as that is only screwed on seperatly
Click image to enlarge pic of my old 90 200tdi wiper motor is roughly in the same place ( i was sticking td5 dash in ) |

Depends on the age of the TD5. If its pre 2002 then its very easy, if its post 2002 the a little more difficult. No need to take the dash off though. Once a few bits are off and the screws are taken out there is enough give in the dash to get the motor out without removing the dash. Once you have done it once its easy!

before you go the new motor route just check the spindles that come through the bulkhead havent seized.
remove motor and try and actuate the worm by hand, if it doesnt turn the spindles then change them, only about £7 each but that is a dash off job! Cheers James 110 2012 XS Utility 130 2011 M57 bespoke Camper 90 2010 Hardtop 90 M57 1988 Hardtop |

mikeyp, depending on where you are in Ldn, if you get stuck, I can't recommend Foley's enough although there are prob plenty of independent's closer to you

Hello Killer! I'm near Ongar. My 110 was in recently for a new wiper park switch and dead driver's door window motor.
