De-cat pipes
Been holding out on this one to see if new MoT legis. would affect - but it seems should be ok, therefore i will be in the market for a de-cat pipe. Who recommends what?

Currently I have a totally standard exhaust fitted in reasonable nick

Hi Stoker, I have the Twisted Performance System and cannot fault it for quality - it sounds bloody lovely too.

Its their Decat pipe, which has a support bracket on it to conform to Landrovers own design, then a straight through pipe to the tail which is a side exit pipe and looks the muts. It's not silly loud, but definately very different from the original! Thumbs Up

I can supply the 409 Stainless Steel De-cat pipe for Td5 to forum members for £62.50+vat inc UK maniland postage if paid for by bank transfer, these are the exact same exhausts as many sell and are produced by Andy at http://www.landy-spares.com in his factory for most of the Uk and Europe resellers. The full stainless steel ones are generally a lot more money and in my opinion a cost thats not generally needed unless you are fitting a full exhaust system as you dont see it anyway.

Go to your local motor factor and order the front pipe from a 98-01 Defender. Its got no cat and just bolts straight in. Should cost you no more than £50. If you want one made of the best quality stuff then go see Gary at Alive.
