Perhaps a silly question, but given the auto box is only 4 speed, does it feel like you are missing the 5th gear in a manual box, or does the gearing make motorway cruising etc perfectly acceptable?

| Not sure what era your truck is, but I believe mine is fitted with one from the US TR7 conversion kits which apparently fit with a couple of brackets.. |

I'd check the fan resistor block? Are you missing all 3 speeds? If not, fuse?
