l can't see how that could happen, but it's great if that's the case. Well, great if you've got a D300.
l can get high 30's from my 90 D250 on a run. With care l can get 40mpg

The bigger brakes on the D300 as opposed to the D250 may help a bit, depending on the trailer set-up & max weight.

Interesting that the LR UK website still enables you to option up 5+2 and Air Suspension pack,
I would check with the dealer again, or ask another outlet to confirm.. I built using the configuration
