18,000 m later and a service all well with no issues at all. I think with limp mode and auto shut down these engines are good at looking after themselves!

On the way to work the heater stopped and the oil light came on. CK the level and no oil registered. Added a lt and after 5 more miles the engine temp hit the roof and the defender entered limp mode. ...
