Sorry for delay - active EGR valve is a good question - since an EGR fault flagged up under diagnostics.

It's been cleaned and lubricated and the problem seems ok for now .. but will take a look in ...

Thanks for your reply .. looks like a likely suspect after a quick search around.

Just to add that outside the idle power drops .. it is fine .. I've not experienced any issues at speed or higher ...
