why not just replace all the worn stuff with new genuine LR stuff?

I mean, nothing against it but it's going further and further away from genuine so not everything is coping with it. It's already ...

As above talk to Gwyn. I’ve run his setup with and without roof tent, and both setups without ARBs and no issues.

Gwyn’s OME springs will give you a 20mm lift, but hardly noticeable.
