Does it start ok in the morning? As it could also be the battery voltage dropping too low, and the battery backup sounder BBUS would trigger. |

Cant really remember, but if you use a rubber mallet or similar you have to be very careful not to deform the channel where the wheels for the scissor mechanism need to slide.

When I fitted mine, I applied small amount of vaseline on the rubber, fit the rubber in the steel, then tap everything onto the glass. The vaseline will get absorbed in the rubber after a short while. |

On RHD vehicles there is a switch which would be very close to the right knee. It switches between dial illumination and cabin illumination with an off position in the middle. |

Was it happening before you ‘forced’ the box?
I never opened a PS pump, but I know there is a lot of valving done on the input shaft of the steering box. |

Mo beat me to it, but brass nuts are quite common in exhaust. They dont bind with the studs. |

I believe they are M8 x 25. Standard nuts, no nylocks.
One thing I will advise is not use stainless. Its weak. |

N is Normal, but I would not be too concerned if it is anywhere between the L and the H marks.
Closer to the H mark will give you more time before the oil reaches the L mark |
