When the slave cylinder fails on a Puma there is usually no fluid loss.

Bingo!
However I don't believe in the injector theory, I believe that the pistons are the issue.
The failure mode is exactly like the Toyota pistons in Australia and there has been 3 updates to pist ...

If you have dislodged something while doing the injectors and it has found its way to the turbo and damaged the vanes this will make a noise under boost usually worse when cold.
Or oil injection nozz ...

I tried annealing on 2 of the cylinders, again no luck.
I’ve read 6Nm, but that doesn’t seem enough? - I’ve got 2 new genuine bolts coming next. I’ve read that they are stretch bolts, so perh ...

Did you replace all the injector hold down bolts?
What torque are you doing the bolts to?
Maybe try and anneal the copper washer.

When you removed injectors did you refit them into the same cylinder?
Have you inspected the seats for scratches or marks.
White smoke is unburnt fuel so you either have a compression problem or an ...

I had this missing on one cylinder and heaps of blow by.
Also came up with a miss fire code.
Result was one holed piston.

I have an external oil pressure gauge fitted to a sandwich plate on the filter and the gauge will always read oil pressure before the light goes out.

EGR Cooler could have a pin hole in it.
Just loop the hose to remove from the cooling circuit to test.

How do you know that cylinder 2 has loss of compression?
Compression test or OBD11 fault code.
Mine came up with cylinder 2 miss fire.
All diagnostics pointed to cylinder 2. Pulled injector and sen ...

Can't see pics.
Hole will be in edge of piston bowl.
If its still running but rough with lots of blow by chances are holed piston.

If you search the Toyota Forums here in Australia they have a dedicated one to cracked pistons.
They look remarkably similar in design and failure to the Land Rover ones.

Would only do it climbing hills under acceleration.
Fault was low fuel rail pressure,
I think it was caused by fuel being ...
