This was why we ordered one over any other engine version... The majority of our day to day driving is shorter journeys around town. But we still do the occasional road trips and longer journeys as well. I don't expect economy to be great on longer journeys - it is still a Defender after all! |

Don’t forget you also get a whisper quiet petrol engine with 400bhp, that is the second fastest model to 60 after the v8.
No rattly diesel. No start/stop. No adblue. And petrol is c.10% cheaper per litre than diesel. But yes if you are a motorway mile muncher then the diesel is cheaper to run. Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

"No rattly diesel. No start/stop. No adblue"
My D250 isn't rattly at all, in fact it's so quiet that pedestrians don't always hear me when l am behind them. As for the Adblue l started with 8,250 miles of range. Having done 5,600 miles it's still saying l have 7,600 miles of range. At this rate l won't need to top it up for about five years. Stop/start is a pain but it can be turned off with the GAP tool. |
