I understand exactly what you mean, my replacement wiper arms seem to have lost their paint
Just about the whip them off and re-paint them as step one along with replacing the rubber spindle covers that have almost completely disintegrated since fitting them. Some parts are utter rubbish... As for stainless wiper arms have a look at the classic car stores as the Defender shared the arms with other vehicles. |

Depends what spindle boxes you have. The early ones were just snap on to the splines, while the later ones have a through hole and a nut on them.
