Happens on mine downhill faulty level sensor, ought to have a look really but hey it's a defender it'll be alright Original Member Pie n Pea Club.

ours was caused to come on by a leaking brake caliper,level sensor is in the brake fluid res. 2.4 90 XS
1968 1/32 scale Britains 109 Pick up.

Level Sensor

Mine used to flash on the really hairy offroad downhill bits when applying breaks and the reservoir being at the angle used to trigger the level switch. Puma 110 - gone

Mine was just a badly adjusted switch on the brake linkage (TD5)
