I have had one near miss when I was moving back into lane 2 from lane 3 after an overtake.
A second car was doing a sneaky undertake of a middle lane hogger, and wanted to move from lane 1 into the same space in lane 2 I was committed to.

He was at about 8 oclock to me - behind and left. Due to the height and angle he was in a blind spot, plus. I guess the blind spot indicator didn't think he was a threat as he wasn't yet in the lane immediately next to me - he was planning to move into that spot.

There was a bit of a beep from behind. A screech and a fireball, but I made it to afternoon tea on time.

Well, that wasn't your fault, it's one of the reasons you don't undertake on the motorway.

The other driver performed an illegal manoeuvre and then wondered why it caused an issue.

It's amazing how people trust these assistance systems with their life- they assist and do not replace your own judgement.

I'm happy with the Defender's visibility. D pillar is probably the worst but what do you expect with a 5m long breeze block.
You just have to be a bit more owlish with shoulder checking 22MY Defender 110 D300 S in Pangea Green and Contrast White Roof

Yeah, and to be fair, middle lane hoggers are a blight - I get the undertake, but it comes with the risk that you can't always get your own way.

Driver's side I don't struggle with a blind spot. Passenger side, off down the back somewhere, good luck to you.
