double s stainless on 110 starter thoughts

so i really should have done a search before buying this ill fitting system ha.

car is an 85 110 3.5

my main concern is the headers seem very close to the starter even dummy fitting it looks like it wont fit.

as an idea - Has anyone changed the starter for a smaller unit?

dont want to go with different manifolds but would prefer to make these fit - how did you do it?

Probably need the later Bosch starter which is much more compact than the Lucas one, but honestly wouldnt bother with the tubular manifolds. Better option is 3.9/4.2 twin outlet cast manifolds with 3.9 RRC/D1 non cat front pipes and they bolt right up to TD5/TDCI centre silencer and tail pipes.
