I have just been and spoken to the owner or the Somerset boat centre
Look them up on google and Facebook it’s a lovely location
He is in full support and will corner off a part of the carpark for Landrovers
I said about an evening meet in the week or a Sunday afternoon just need to let him know and he will sort it

I am on the edge of the Bath & West Showground, near Shepton Mallet, and am happy to meet up if dates are suitable.

All this business about Public Liability insurance has taken on a life of its own driven, quite often by local authorities, but Gov.UK makes it clear that there is no law that says you must buy insurance for a voluntary or community event even on Council land.

That said, if four friends are meeting at a particular place do they need PL insurance? Of course not and nor will we.

Let's just sort an informal gathering out at some time, The Hunters Lodge near Wincanton is used by biker groups so I am sure they would welcome a group of us.

I propose, as possibilities, 1st or 2nd July at Hunters Lodge, or 1st July at Cartgate service area A303 as it has a cafe and toilets.

What are your suggestions?

Somerset Landrover meet-ups
The few people I have spoken to about holding Landrover evens are very supportive they hold all insurance in place and mostly hold bike nights but are more than happy welcoming Landrover groups
