Probably the problem was already there, but now accentuated by the wheel offsets.

I agree with this. The spacers, wheels and tyres mean there is more leverage on the swivels and steering mechanism. As in it is easier for the tyres to turn the steering wheel. But........ I would get under there and make sure that the wheel bearings, swivel pins/bearings, bushes on the radius arms, the track rod ends and steering drop arm ball joints are all good. Any one of these can create a pull to one side. The other thing is if you have a spring lift then the steering castor will be out and that can also exacerbate the effect of worn steering and suspension components. |
