Puma Gremlins Wreaking Havoc (again) - Injector earth-ground
Hi brain trust,

The old girl (07 2.4 90) has decided to stop dead in its tracks as of a week ago. Looks like rain is getting in all the usual places and the under dash fusebox looks a little moist (although nothing blown). Steps of chaos are as follows:

1. Traction control light came and stayed on for a week or so. Felt bitey and underpowered for the week or two following.
2. Car turns over but wouldn't start on a cold morning. P0200-11 (2Cool code pulled from the BAS tool. Injector circuit - General electrical failure - circuit short to ground. Have checked the earthing points I can find and they look fine, no signs of corrosion and under-seat box is dry as a bone.
3. Roadside assist hardclearted the fault as the BAS tool couldn't - turned over and all was working fine again until the next morning when the same thing popped up.

Thinking its a dash-out, hairdry all wiring and replace injector harness job + sikaflex heater-blower entries and windscreen bits. Next steps will be to find a noid light and test the injector voltage and probably replace the injectors.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? No other codes to be found. Have checked injector harness on the bulkhead side but all looks pretty clear. Hoping water hasn't gotten into the ECU (although I'd expect more codes if so).

Thanks in advance - couldn't have happened at a worse time.

As a first off I'd use a good quality jump leads and run one from the battery -ve to the gearbox and another battery -ve to a good clean point on the bulkhead and try that, if it works run some additional earths around and then fix some leaks.
