A word of caution.
If you have mice (it's that time of year and we have (had, actually) one or two in the house already) - try to trap them vs poison Poison gives them internal bleeds and makes them desperate for water - the year before last this resulted in a chewed washer reservoir on my car and a chewed dishwasher hose (and resultant leak) in my neighbours kitchen! |

We used to use a humane trap - we have a lot of wood mice and they used to get into the house before I found the entry point and sorted it.
Record was 6 wood mice in the trap one night when we got back from work. Only problem is that you have to release them at least half a mile away from where you caught them otherwise they just come back ![]() The reason we used (maybe had to use) a humane trap is that there is evidence of dormice in our hedge rows - never seen them but the experts say they are in the vicinity. Protected species and do no harm. I would love to see one and get some pictures - one day maybe ![]() Bob |

Agreed - we got Winnie the "Greek Terrier" (i.e. mongrel from Paros) and she catches everything... then eats it - something to do with a year in the wild I guess. Doesn't eat much (except mice) and worming tablets are cheap ![]() But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

TERRIER
![]() ![]() ![]() Cannot recommend them highly enough - cairn, jack russell, border, "greek" - should come free with every Defender ![]() They keep mice, cats, martins, foxes, moles, pretty much everything away and will love you for it! Matt Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |
