ECU Stage 1 and turbo waste gate adjusted a few turns. Nothing else. Very pleased with it as is. No smoke decent acceleration and torque. (Thinking about a full width intercooler but no further tuning 🤷♂️). 2010 Range Rover MkIII Autobiography Super Charged (Idris)

Does it count if its not done but booked in
On my 130 TD5 I've done decat with a 3 inch stainless straight through to a standard rear section to keep the noise nice and not too raspy, EGR blank, K2 Fab ali intake pipe, Roose Silicon hoses, Darkside performance intercooler, 90mm forced air intake on the drivers side wing and removed the baffles in the airbox. Booked into Empire Tuning on the 9th next month which i am quite exited about to have dual map (sensible power on map one and smoky popcorn silly boy map on map two), allisport performace manifold, hybrid turbo and uprated Map sensor. Aiming for around 180bhp on map one and hopefully 200-210bhp on map two. IRB 190bhp tune (done about 13 years ago).
Allisport boost box, IRB VGT turbo, Allisport intercooler. i did build a "freeflow" kind of exhaust out of a rimmer brothers stainless V8 pipe I had (off an old V8 HiCap I'd built), but got fed up with the constant droaning so refitted a standard Td5 exhaust and noticed no difference in performance whatsoever. also got a 1.2:1 t/box. Goes well for a lardy ol' bus. |

My old 110 was dynoed at 225bhp and 525nm torque on a stock airbox and leaking intercooler. New IC, Wrecker fab airbox and some retuning we suspected around 260 and 550nm.
Allisport IC CJM Manifold Egr Blank 3.5" intake Empire Ceramic Ball Bearing VNT - 26psi boost 3" switched exhuast half made by me half by Demand. MAF delete + 4bar map sensor Empire Tuned Was amazing to drive until it was written off Click image to enlarge However bought a D2 and have done the exact same again. This time with Empires Intercooler (got sick of blowing Allisport ones, went through 3? On the 110) More free flowing intake - custom made airbox which is 4" from the airbox stepping down to the turbo with a pleated ITG cone + 3.5" snorkel. D2s runing 29psi boost and a slightly higher state of tune. Can spin 33" muds in 3rd Currently at Empire HQ for head studs, dual mapping and mapping tweaks. We will dyno this one again soon, suspect in the region of 280hp and 560 - 580nm but had to say till we test it. Certainly isnt slow, shocked a few Focus STs and the like Click image to enlarge Instagram @defender_ventures Empire Tuning - Agent |

Fairly conservative map from Dan at Storm tuning- its got a bit more poke but I asked specifically to make the drivability as good as possible as opposed to feeling like a rocketship- I have driven a lot of mapped TD5s that are all or nothing and I didn't want that.
He has done a cracking job, drivability is lovely, very torquey and much more relaxing on the road/motorway. Centre silencer has gone- mostly because it got damaged off road and had developed a horrid rattly noise, weirdly (and I don't fully understand how this works) it somehow seems quieter inside the vehicle at motorway speeds- perhaps it has changed the frequency/resonance of the noise. It has got a Serck intercooler- again, more because the standard one failed an it was a good opportunity to upgrade. Chris |

Just like to say this is nice to read, people showing off different states of tune and different tuners without turning into a slagging match
@Lwb96 how you finding the GTB? Pretty impressive turbos Instagram @defender_ventures Empire Tuning - Agent |

I've got mine booked in in a few weeks for a few upgrades, including new brakes and suspension all round.
On the tuning side I've gone for - Full demand exhaust with centre silencer, de cat - Alive intercooler - Stage 2 map I will get the EGR blank done when the manifold warps |

Yeah it's great to see the variety and preferences people have. On the fence wether or not to just get a remap or go full hog with VNT, driveability definitely a priority as per Christ's post. Really don't want to turn it into s p#ssing competition about tuners though. Keep them coming lads! |

the VNT (or VGT, I can't remeber what I've got) certainly made a nice difference to drivability, in so much as instead of being nothing..nothing...nothing...nothing....nothing...LOADS OF BOOST OFF WE GO!! it made it more of a smoother power delivery, like driving a "modern" diesel.
There is still a bit of nothingness pre boost, although that could be me MAF sensor, I must plug the nanocom into it to have a check. I've built a few other Td5's since getting my IRB tune done, I've used Allisport 140 and 170bhp files that I've got here. Along with just a boost box (to stop the ECU from freaking out) and a bigger intercooler it made the world of difference to them. |
