I "upgraded" with some Halfrauds ones, 2 4 1 and about £15. My old ones were yellow, these are white and a fair bit brighter.

I'm a big fan of Philips X-treme Power bulbs. I've had them fitted in two different Land Rovers and found them to be a really big improvement. Bought mine from www.powerbulbs.com. Darren

A quick note for anyone buying from PowerBulbs, they are (or were, when I last used them ~12 months ago) much cheaper from their eBay shop than from their own web site shop. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Another vote for the phillips xtreme bulbs. And when you combine them with the wipac crystal headlamps, they are even brighter.

Do these bulbs improve dipped beam? I've got spotlights sorting out the full beam nicely but my dipped beam is terrible Fully Restored 89 110 CSW V8

Yes, although they obviously can't completely compensate for the poor beam pattern of the OE lenses.
For a completely un-scientific comparison test (on a Freelander), take a look HERE Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? You're braver than I thought!" - Princess Leia |
