What software version have you on the Nanocom ? Current version is 1.36 and there is a beta 1.37

I think beta 1.37 may help you, noting I’m assuming you are running engine at operating temperature when running procedure ?

Changes incorporated in Beta 1.37 release:

Vehicle specific:
- Defender PUMA 2.2 Service Resets introduced containing: Oil Service, Turbo Replacement, Mass Air Flow sensor, High pressure fuel pump replacement, EGR throttle replacement, EGR valve replacement, DPF and DPF pressure sensor, Engine Adaptive values.
- Defender PUMA 2.4 added Status report for Pilot Correction procedure.

Bugs & fixes:
Defender Puma 2.4 Pilot Correction Engine temp bug fix
VIN TOOL will now be able to instruct key ECU`s to do a self VIN learn to avoid Not all VIN match detection error.

Just posted this in your other post.
Had a similar problem when new injectors were fitted to my 2.4tdci.
Got it sorted by -
01. Engine temp as high as possible without over heating.
02. High AMBIENT air temp. - space heater in workshop.
03. No mods to standard ECU programme - no tuning or EGR delete etc. just the bog standard map.
The indi who did it (with me helping by looking over his shoulder) used a Nanocom and his first step was to ensure that the standard map was installed.
Good luck Thumbs Up Just because you're offended doesn't mean you're right.

And there's the problem. I bought her remapped with egr digitally blanked. sounds complicated. I do have the ecu that came with replacement engine. would that be an easier fix or more drama? and last question is how important in pilot learning ? series 2a 1966

Frankly, I would ask the relevant tuning providers (Alive, BAS etc.) with your VIN regarding the remap in order to be able to produce the standard programme at any time first.

My remap and EGR delete was provided by BAS and Pete Bell was extremely helpful.
My indi was able, with help from Nanocom, to install the age related factory map on his Nanocom for future use.
These complicated engine management systems are a nightmare to those of us who can tune twin SU carbs by ear Laughing Just because you're offended doesn't mean you're right.
