Yeah, a truck really doesn’t need anything high-end (to put things into perspective, I’ve vintage Linn/Mission hi-fi in the home but mostly listen to salsa, bachata, zouk etc. through internet radio), but a MUST for a car radio is a USB port - I’ve got 6,000 MP3 tracks on a one of my tiny USBs.
Cheap as chips, a quick Google turned up a JVC KDT402 Rotary Control USB, Aux in, CD Tuner for eighty quid on Amazon, it’s almost exactly the same as the cheap radio I have. Not such a bad sound, either. Speakers easy enough to install, although my current truck had them from the factory, speakers come with a cutting-out template and even I was able to drill the required holes in my last one.
Good Luck,
Peter
