Feedback on Insurance
Apologies if this is posted elsewhere but it's collection day and it's taken me 4 days to get insurance in place.

Car is a 90 X-Dynamic HSE D250, insured with 9 years no claims, parked on a drive, social and commuting.

For those that might be looking, Admiral where the only provider that would cover. All of the below said no because of the vehicle, no other reason. Many also provided a quote but at the point of payment would throw an error and advise to call. It was at that point they would then confirm cover was not available.

NFU
LV
Direct Line
A-Plan's panel (apart from one at £4k per year!)
Most of Money Supermarket

Good luck!

We've got Admiral multi-car, so just added it to that. The dealer said a number of Range Rover buyers have delayed their pickups as they can't get insurance!

NFU has just quoted me to cover my new 90 D250 HSE, my 110 is currently insured with them. I’m in rural Central Scotland with 40 years NCB - £315pa, protected NCB, fully comp, one named driver, 10,000 miles agreed annual mileage and off road use all covered.that premium was this years cover for my 110 D240 First Edition and they are not asking (yet) for any increase to change to the new car. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

Churchill refused to insure my 23.5MY 90 X-Dynamic SE, but insured my 23MY 110 XS Edition. Interestingly they would insure the 75th Anniversary Edition, perhaps nobody wants to steal them Laughing

Currently with Esure, but the prices were eye watering from some companies. Never seen anything like it in the years I’ve been buying LRs. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

Same here - added to Admiral multicar policy. Was under £300 for the remaining 210 days to go for a brand new 110 XDyn HSE with business use etc in Surrey which I didn't think was too bad and worked out way cheaper than a standalone policy (quoted over £900 via a comparison site).

LV were happy to take on my D250 Commercial at £400 which is about the same as my old Defender.

However we've done multi car with the missus's Jimny and it was les than £200 extra with both vehicles on the policy.

My renewal with Aviva was £285 but then declined to cover when I told them about the PPF! Bit strange when the Caparthian V8 has full PPF from the factory.

After checking all the online sites NFU turned out to be the cheapest at £578. They’re ok with PPF, several other plus points, like two year GAP cover, although theft xs is £1500 and they require active tracker.
