Door Locks hard to unlock
All 3 of my doors are difficult to unlock. I put the key in and then have to pull it back ever so slightly in order for it to turn. Takes several tries to get it just right every time and it's getting old. Anybody else have this issue or know how to remedy it? Not keen on replacing the locks because I don't want to replace the ignition either.

Worth using some graphite powder to lubricate the locks and see if that improves things.

Tried the graphite powder and helped minimally on one of the door locks. Any other suggestions?

Remove the lock from door and clean its internals with some brake cleaner, than lube with proper oil not WD40 and some grease. I made it on 110 and 130 during last month and from nearly not ussable locks and hard to close doors, it is like new. Trying to clean them without removing from doors was not working. I used like one big spray of brake cleaner to clean one lock. No only the part for key, but whole mechanism. There was huge quantity of old grease, dirt and dust inside. "Drobek" = The Small One - Discovery 2, "Blufínek" = The Blue Thing - Defender 130, and for me at least Ford Mondeo Smile

My drivers and rear door lock barrel were totally useless. Couldn't even get a key into either. Full of corrosion - I actually thought they had been super glued.
I took the locks off, then slowly stripped them apart using brake cleaner and WD40. Awful job 😪. Cleaned every bit careful to not let all the little sliders in the barrels fall out, greased and refitted. Both now working as expected. 2009 Defender 90 CSW 2.4 TDCI.
