No issues with the seats on mine. Although the bases are quite long and touch my calfs at the top.
l found this a slight issue at first but now l don't notice it. l have the basic cloth seats with no lumbar adjustment, only backrest angle and seat height. |

Guess we would need to know which seats you have first. |

Yes!! Good to see I am not the only one.
I think I have figured it out. I also drive a L322 Range Rover and have no issues. So I have come to the conclusion that the seats I have are the 12 way and you can’t adjust the seat base cushion like I can on the Range. Essentially you end up sitting like a 45 degree angle at your hips even with the seat recliner. If that makes sense. Whereas when you can tilt the lower cushion down at the front and higher at back it allows your hips to open up. The back pain is likely linked to tight hip flexors which can’t open up due to the angle of the seat. I’m close to selling the car after a month. But first trying to see if I can retro fit the 14 way seat which has the base tilt. I can’t find any second hand ones though. |

Longest trip I've done is a bit under 4 hours - and I think the seats are great!

Yes I found that I got numb bum cheeks after an hour in the chair - that was 10 days ago. I did another nearly 2 hour stretch in the driver’s seat this weekend and still had numb bum syndrome despite lots of fine adjusting of the settings. No. I find them pretty comfy. Not as good as my XC90 but comfy enough. I've driven to Milan and back twice alongside other 3+ hour rips and found them very comfortable. Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy.

I have had lower back pain when driving for 2+ hours in a stint.
Took me a while to get the lumbar adjustment in the right place. (I have the 12 way semi electric heated seats.) No more back ache now. These seats are not as 'out of the box' comfortable when driving long distances vs. other cars, so you need to take the time to trial and error and adjust. 22MY Defender 110 D300 S in Pangea Green and Contrast White Roof IG defender_japan "Hulk san" |

I’d imagine seats, like a bed mattress, will be very individual, some find them great others will find them uncomfortable.
Personal I’m used to sports seats with bolsters but find the seat “ok” we did a 6 hour’s journey last month with one stop, no issues but then I’ve drove an hour and felt uncomfortable. On the whole, I do agree with the op, there not the best. |

Coming from the Recaros of my 2012 Puma 110 I found the new ones are not too comfortable. They're not bad but I think the seat area is just a bit small. Maybe it will be an option for electric LR branded Recaros that work with the memory function in the future. I'd definitely consider to change them.
The seats are the only thing casting a small cloud over an excellent overland vehicle. |

I totally agree the recaros in my 90 Bowler are a much nicer seat and really think LR could have done something with the V8 seats
