Wales 2008 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 USW Zermatt Silver
Are you referring to the standard fitted JLR Pirelli Scorpion Verde M+S rated?

If so, absolutely fantastic tyre. 2008 2.4 110 Utility Station Wagon XS.

More than up to the job, my Defender doesn’t have them but my velar and previously Discos and Freelander 2s all had them. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

Pirelli Scorpion verde tyres are good for circa 30k miles…I had them on several FFRS and RRS sports…in contrast to the alternatives at the time being Cross Continentals which were finished at 18k miles.
My current 2021 Defender has the Goodyear off road tyres which I choose instead for off road capability and the supposition that they would be of harder compound and last even longer - like the old Defender when the original tyres were good for 75k miles.
I don’t think I’ll get that mileage on mine, but at 13k miles they have a long way to go…plus the original tread depth was much more then equivalent Pirellis …. I guess 12mm versus 8mm?

My Pirelli Scorpions have done 36K and still have approx 3mm left on them. Slightly more wear outside edge on fronts presumable due to cornering. At what tread depth do most people replace?

My 110 D240 came on the Scorpions but at 3000 miles I changed them for Duratracs. When I had the partex valuation the dealer asked if I could take the Duratracs off and put the original Scorpions back on .
3 of the Duratracs had covered 18000 miles (I had one slashed one off-road and the spare went on in its place, the new spare was unused and still had the paper tapes on it) and looked like new - hardly any wear and despite some rock crawling no damaged tread blocks.
I’m running my 90 on the factory supplied Adventurer AT that come as part of the off-road pack for a couple of thousand miles to see how good they are off-road on gentle stuff over the next 2-3 months before I decide whether to take them off and go back to the part used Duratracs. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

Just changed mine at 40,000 miles since new. Still had 3.5mm tread on them but wanted to change before winter. Great all round tyre for me on First Edition so bought same again

lol, average UK winter, eps in somewhere like Norfolk you should be perfectly fine with a Corvette on semi-slick track day tyres!!! Rolling with laughter

As for mileage. Does it really matter that much? Surely lots of people are more likely to change vehicles more often than change tyres? And if you do get to the point of needing new tyres, just replace them. Driving style will play a bigger part of tyre wear than brand/tread.

Used mine up and down the Alps in January and February this year. Wasn't bad enough to need chains anywhere though - blame global warming!

I never fit anything else to my L322 Range Rover as they have coped without problem in any condition I have driven in.
