Are A-Plan answering the phone?
Tried to get through for a new quote on my new 110 with no answer. Phoned 3 times now (Friday and twice today). On hold for a while and then seem to get connected but just ring tone for ages and no answer.

@A-Plan Insurance, can someone call me back please? My existing KGM policy # is P41812319. Thanks.

We've been posting on our socials that we've been having some phone issues this week and a couple of days last week too - sorry for the inconvenience, I can assure you it's just as frustrating for us as it is for you, it's been a nightmare.

Called Thatcham today - phone went to an automated system that told me a qualified consultant would answer my call. After looping three/four times, it went to just a ringing tone that no one answered after letting it ring for two minutes. Hung up after what was probably five minutes in total. So it would seem their ‘phones issues’ still aren’t resolved…

If it is the average waiting time, perhaps you should change the automated system to loop the calls for longer, rather than putting them through to the main number, allowing it to ring for 2+ minutes and no one being able (or willing) to pick up the phone, or it going through to an answering machine.

Pre pandemic, I don’t remember having to chase companies to give them business but post pandemic, it seems all too common. Including A-Plan, who I used for previous Defenders. Not sure if this is a result of ‘working from home’ or ‘staff shortages’ but it seems the new normal.

On a positive note, NFU’s local branch picked up the phone and I spoke with a person who was happy to provide a quote.

I will let management know as it shouldn't be a loop once you select which team you're after (new quote, renewal, claim etc) and when it hits a set time we have an overflow branch on standby so you aren't kept waiting.
Previous phone issues were connectivity/network in general so those have been resolved a while ago.

Please note that although our average hold time has increased slightly, it is still a lot faster than many of our competitors who are sitting well into double digits. Appreciate that NFU have answered quicker for you on this occasion though.

As above, happy to arrange to call you instead so you don't have to use our hold system at all Smile
