Rust proofing the underside
Has anybody had the underside of their new Defender treated against corrosion?

I wondered if it was worthwhile getting it treated with a wax based product, it was certainly needed on the old version but l am not sure it's necessary or worthwhile on the new one.

What do people think?

l treated the underside of our 2020 Jimny with a clear wax based product and after three years it still looks new underneath where others l've seen have a coating of surface rust.

But it's only on the suspension components and brackets, plus the Jimny has a separate chassis where the new Defender doesn't.

I’m planning on doing mine with Corroheat as per Zagato’s instruction.

No, but perhaps I should have done. Bit rusty under there now.

How old is your Defender?

lt's only surface rust but might be worth treating if you are planning to keep it.

It’s just over two years old, but that photo was taken a year ago.
