Front Wiper Motor - Sourcing Plug and Motor Hot
Hi all

Doing some work today on the 90 with the ignition on. When finished could smell a burning, Went around the cabin and eventually tracked it down to the Front Windscreen wiper motor.

The motor once exposed was ridiculously hot, given the wipers haven't been on, and I had to wait for it to cool to touch it.

I have tried to disconnect it at the park switch and everything but it seems everything is melted together.

Can anyone advise what plug I need so I can splice it back in? Its the 5 pin.

Also - Can I get away without having to expose wiper boxes to change motor?

The plug is available as a repair part, with six inches or so of the wires pre-installed....

Or could also get the connector with the terminals, and saves you splicing the wires.
I am unsure if this is the correct plug, but you get the idea:

But you would also need the correct crimping tool, such as this one:
