| Glitch:Steering lock stuck on.. off/on fixed it | |
I had a funny quirk this morning - not sure if it's recreatable..
1. Remote started using InControl App
2. Got in a few mins later, but forgot I'd remote started. I think I put my foot on the brake and then promptly turned the engine off (dummy)
3. I restarted the engine
4. Popped it straight into reverse
5. Vehicle moved backwards but the steering lock was stuck on. I couldn't turn the wheel at all.
6. I put it into drive and the issue remained. I could only moved dead straight forward or backwards.
7. I turned the engine off/on, the problem was resolved.

I saw someone else reporting the problem over on landroverforums.com
The more I think about it, the more dangerous this might be. If you can get up to any sort of speed before needing/trying to turn the wheel, you're in for a nasty surprise. Imagine a nice long driveway, or a clear shot straight out of the garage onto a road...
