2015 Defender Console Light Issue
The problem:

Hot/Cold dial light doesn’t work initially but after turning and the dial it sort of works

Question:

How to do I get behind? Do I pull the dial hard or …

Has anyone experienced this?

Many thanks

You can remove the center part of the dash where the radio etc is seated by undoing the two torx screws and unclipping it all and pulling it forward. You should then easily be able to access the back of those dials.

as above - but the lights are in the white mouldings left in the facia inside the dash . .. there are a lot of posts on how to change these if you do a quick search

such as here - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic16996...=dash+bulb

its a ’sticky’ on the forum...

As a supplement, I don't know the price of the Land Rover bulbs, but you can usually get 10 of them with the description Osram W1.2W 12V W2x4.6d (2721) online for a very good price.

From memory I fitted LED bulbs to my 2.2, much better illumination, possibly used these in White

Do they distribute lights equally? The earlier LED units had bright "hotspots" from where the output was focused and dismal light in the surrounding areas
