Latest upgrade is the fitting of an alcantara steering wheel and the flappy paddles from the V8, they aren't activated yet so can't wait until I get them done. I also fitted a dark grey steering wheel trim to replace the white one

I also fitted an alcantara gear lever trim piece to match the steering wheel

Sorry, but it just looks wrong, particularly the gear knob.

Just thought I would update my thread with a couple of things added. I now have working flappy paddles courtesy of David and the team at https://huntersprestige.com/ The main reason that I wanted the flappy paddles was for off road so you can either go up or down the box without taking your hands off the wheel but I must admit I've used them on the tarmac quite a bit also Twisted Evil

Following the lead from Marco (https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic88338.html) I also fitted the clearsight mirror, I was unable to get this when I bought the car so it has been a welcome addition.

Latest update to the car, I've fitted a lightbar and an 8 way switch, I've only got the lightbar wired up at the moment but have plans for more items to fit to use some of the other switches. The lightbar is the Osram one that Powerful are selling with their brackets to mount it to the Land Rover Rack. The switch is a copy of the Auxbeam one which I got from Aliexpress for a lot less than the Auxbeam one. I followed the installation instructions from Manou which can be found in this thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic80449-30.html
I also bought 2 sheets of Aluminium from Ebay to manufacture the switch bracket and control unit bracket for under the bonnet as per Manou's diagrams. I had considered buying the switch pro mounts from the States but they are very expensive and the shipping was really steep so the two sheets of aluminium only cost Β£9-10 from Ebay, they might not be as pretty but I can live with that for the saving.

Well mine turned 3 years old today, put it through it's MOT last week and it flew through as expected. This is the longest I have kept a daily driver and is probably one of the best Land Rovers I've had. Did 2.5K miles in a week last week on a trip down to Andorra and back and it never missed a beat.
