[For Sale] Fountain C300 tipping car trailer
Got my late father's car trailer for sale. I inherited it about 2 years back but have only used it twice since, so it seems a waste to have it getting mouldy on the drive.

Its a Fountain C300. Can carry 3000kg, has a tipping bed, hand winch, lockable 50mm hitch.

I need to swap a couple of the side marker lights which hopefully I'll get done this weekend.

Bed is 6' x 14'

I'm after £2000

Well i've searched under it, over it, inside it, can't find a data plate anywhere... not even a "clean" bit where it would have been attached.

Having just had a hernia op on Thursday I'm not keen to grovel around on my back under it, but I'll keep looking!

A bit of digging with the Wayback Machine turned up this spec list that may help. It looks like the capacity depends on exactly which C300 it is:

Ah thanks for that.

Mine is either a C3-426T or a C3-430T then

I'll keep looking for the data plate.

Still available. Had a couple of time-wasters that amounted to nothing.

Think I've got to the bottom of it....

Fired up dads old PC today. found some pictures of when he bought the trailer in August (28.08.09) from a plant hire place. They had taken the data plate off and have welded (in a few places) their 4 digit ID number. one of the holes where the plate was riveted is still in place.
Unfortunately there's no paper trail (his emails only go back to 2013 so I guess he updated his PC) so I cant find out where he got it from.

So looking at it from the "just delivered" pictures it looked a couple of years old, not much more. so it has to be 16 years old at least I'd guess.

That's all I can find out so far.. Will ask mum when I see her next if there's any paperwork at her house. He had so much cr@p around the place it may take a while to dig through it!

Replacement spare tyre arrived today as well. so will get that mounted this week.
