Probably in civillain hands now.
If it were RAF it would have been a wolf, or at the very least a Project Tithonus. Any idea why it was there? Charity fund raising would be my guess. 2002 Defender 110 DC |

They're still running older core defenders... I see plenty buzzing around Lyneham when I'm passing.
Like you say, looks like it'll be a charity thing, or some promo stuff. |

Surprising as even the TA seem to have converted now, certainly the local Infantry and Signals units have and you would think they would use the most up to date kit to recruit. The Marines had a could of Jackels for their recuiting stand. 2002 Defender 110 DC |

I work at Heathrow, it is there as part of a fundraising drive for the Royal British Legions poppy appeal. It was organised by a logistics company called Amaiga and delivered by Automania who have drained the fuel and oil before it was pushed in to place, should be there for about a month. It is in civiy hands and I think it is a V8 but not had a close look. He who dies with the most toys wins. |

It's also got non-MOD side steps and wing-top chequer plate, (so the roundel's in the wrong place too)
