I bought a replacement OEM unit, it wasn't the Genuine unit. It failed exactly where the old unit failed. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

I had a similar issue on my genuine one when I bought my 110 the din surround cracked and kept falling out, so I designed this to be a single piece hopefully reducing the chances of it cracking or breaking

I did look at that but this version is designed for a Sony XAV-AX8050D style head unit, once I have test fitted and can see what space there is I will look at adding a clock on one of the sides

For anyone interested in closing the hole after removing a single din this:
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&...JnBb_H35c1 ..has got the best ever fit to do exactly that. It snaps in place and is a complete factory look flush fit with no gaps. Just thought i mentioned it for those who follow the Td5 dash discussions.. piece of the puzzle etc |

Click image to enlarge Ok good news and bad, the prototype finally arrive this morning. The company decided to make in into separate parts instead of one solid piece. And there are some minor design issues that need correcting I’ve added some photos of the part with the stereo in so you can get a feel for what it’s going to look like. Planning to get it redesigned and v2 ordered this week and hopefully customs won’t step in again. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

Click image to enlarge Appologies for taking so long to put an update up. when adjusting the original design I found that there was an awful lot wrong with it so have had to redesign the entire thing from scratch I think I have made a lot of improvements on the design, let me know what you think V2 is already with a new prototyper and should be with me mid next month. the slot in the middle of the design is now going to be single din sized to fit additional switches |

apologies for the long drawn out process, but I have finally got a working prototype that fits, I've put some pictures up of the centre console (was printed in two parts and then glued together the final will be a single piece) if any one is interested in getting one please let me know via PM.
the original buttons and switches all fit might need slight modification to fit aftermarket switches but the slit in the middle is single din sized. any suggestions are welcome Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |
