Check the electrical connector is secure to the rear, it maybe loose.
In the past though rare, it has been known for some members to have issues with the circuit boards in the IPAC with solder joints failing. Thatโs just a possibility the two above options. I think you can possibly change over the whole IPAC (instrument cluster unit) to a different one as the ECM/ECU has all the data such as mileage etc contained in it not the IPAC. But Iโm not expert on this, so take my advice with a pinch of salt. Can anyone confirm? Bog standard, but check the battery clamps are tight, and grouting points are clean and secure and no excessively loose fuses etc and things like that. I finally could confirm that the IPAC itself is definitely the problem. Somehow the IPAC worked the whole summer without a problem. But as the temperature dropped in autumn the problems came back. To the end it became worse, so I changed the IPAC to a used one. Everything is working good now. The IPAC does not randomly cut off and the car has its full power back.
But the IPAC does not have the right data yet. It still shows the milage of the previous car. ABS and TC are illuminated as the car where it was plugged in before might have been a one without ABS and when I plug in the Nanocom it shows the VIN of the previous car. Does anybody know how to change these data in the IPAC? Im glad for every advise. |

I believe that that the IPAC VIN data can only be changed with dealer diagnostic equipment. Darren
