Hello,
I'm looking for the later equivalent (superceding part) of this: NTC2655 | Extension Pipe - Fuel Filler | Defender To 1998 I'm pretty sure that I bought one of these and found it too large in diameter to fit my 1998 Defender (the trim has 11/98 as the build date code) and VIN WA146xxx Any idea why this part changed? The LR Workshop page only lists one part number: https://www.lrworkshop.com/diagrams/land-r...9806_53476 |

Yes as stated above. My series 111 has one fitted which can be removed but it will not fit into a Td5 or Puma as they have narrower filler necks. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Actually a feature I use regularly on my Series 3 and I missed the other day on my Td5.

Is there any reason you couldn't fit the older type of filler and cap so you can have the extension? The filler recess in the body panel is the same size.

It's mating the filler to the tank would be the problem. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Yes, it’s a larger diameter hose. But a reducer could be easily made up to adapt the two bits of hose together.

Good idea. A flexible end to join to the tank would allow the pipe to taper to the tank. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

A photo would be a big help to anyone else considering doing this. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Looked under my 110 today and some old build pictures, and it seems I just used a plain normal rubber pipe.
Will have to search and see what I used (plastic td5 tsnk) so maybe it wad just a late 300tdi pipe I used. |

I have a pre-TD5 metal filler neck but the part listed in the original post didn't fit (diameter too great on the extension). I'll measure the filler neck I.D. so we've got some facts to work from. |
