TTR - lovely 110 there!

Just picked mine up from my local indy.

1) New rear carpet grabber/rail (old one was corroded badly)
2) New headlight rims (again old ones rusty)
3) Turbo hose re-rerouted (it was rubbing)
4) Complete Waxoyl - they've done a cracking job for a mere £140!
5) Roof resealed around the windscreen.

And a FINAL trip to the main dealer next Tuesday to get the vent blower resistor changed (!) It runs out of warranty the next day! Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion.

Great looking truck TRR! It's making me think about black wheels on mine! Never thought they would look that good against green, but am now reconsidering! What size are your tyres? 235 or 265? I'm trying to decide. Cheers Thumbs Up 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green

Agreed!

And what green is that? Agree with Green - I didn't think it would work but it does! Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion.

This morning I dropped some bits off my latest acquisition off to be re-blacked and then went on to another place so my lad could try some 20 bores for size. Steve.

Think it's galvy 10mm sides and 8mm ally guard plate.
Same one on my 90 above. On the puma I had to elongate the holes on the guard plate to get it to fit. Chassis legs were wider than that of the 90 which is a cut down armoured 110 hotspur chassis.
They are approx £100 so good value.

Thumbs Up

The tyres are 265-70 x 17 on Preditor rims. The 110 does handle better due to the lower profile tyre. Originally it had wider Pro-comp all terrains on. they lasted 44000 miles. Very Happy

It's Tonga Green, my favourite LR colour. It's a shame they stopped making it by the time i could afford the 90 Sad "If it ain't sideways, you just ain't tryin'!

Cheers for the tyre info - pretty much decided that I'll go for 265's once funds permit. Also agree entirely with Tonga Green (although some would accuse me of being biased!).

Today I went to collect mine from JR Classics after their full rustproofing treatment. Have to say that it looks to be a very neat and tidy job, certainly no signs of any overspray or anything else where it shouldn't be. I will post some pics and more info on the JR Classics thread tomorrow (for those who are at all interested), once I've had chance to inspect it thoroughly in daylight. Glad that it's finally done though - hopefully this winter won't have quite such a damaging effect as the last one did. 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green
