Have a read of this:
https://forums.lr4x4.com/topic/38064-galva...-pointers/ It refers to the later (2002-on) bulkhead as a ‘Td5’ bulkhead and is comparing it to an older Tdi or earlier one rather than to 1999-2001 Td5 bulkhead but the main differences will be picked up. Biggest differences are the wiper layout and wiring loom routing. |

thanks for the link I think I may be more confused than I was with him referring to fitment to what I think was an early 90.
I have a 2001 Td5 and wondered if I was shopping for a used bulkhead would I be wasting my money on a later bulkhead and so I need to source one from a 1999/2001? |

Main differences are the improved wiper mechanism on the later ones. This includes a modified wiper motor position and better wiper wheelboxes.
The later bulkhead has the brackets for locating the later style dash with the centre console but this could be fairly simply modified to allow the older dash to be fitted. Not really many other significant differences between TD5 spec ones. A few extra holes for mounting things but all easily adaptable. Steve 02' 110 TD5 Double Cab Rebuild Thread |

Crumbs Steve - I’d hate to think what the non improved wiper mechanism was like

Thanks Steve.
Do you know if the “modified wiper motor position” is greatly different? same motor just in a different place? |

Is yours a late 2001 though (which could make it a 2002MY)? Does it have the later Td5 centre dashboard (and round fog/reverse lights)? Or the earlier style dash layout? 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

That’s great John, the picture of your old bulkhead fill the gaps, I’ll get a better look tonight when I’m not limited to a phone.
