Park Assist – Activation on Defender

Hi all,

Do you think Park Assist could be activated on the Defender? On the new RR it looks like a really useful feature.

Thanks,

I had park assist on my last car and never used it. My theory is if you can’t park your car you shouldn’t be driving. 110 XS 250 MY 23 Gondwana Stone, Cold climate pack and towbar

whilst the 'Park assist' is hunting a parking space, three cars are honking there horn after you have overshot the space.

Like lots of 'toys' ...... NOT needed.

If you can't park, you shouldn't be on the road.

From a technical perspective, do we know if this is possible?

I have it as part of a park pack fitted to my Mini Countryman. The wife was super excited hoping that this new toy was going to make parallel parking a doddle. Even she found it too slow and only used it a couple of times when the car was new and has never used it since. I would certainly think long and hard before having it retro fitted.

You could try borrowing a RR demo from your local dealer and see what you think. Defender 90XS SW
