United Kingdom 2005 Defender 110 Td5 USW Chawton White
Andorra and France
Hello,

Looking for some advice/up to date route knowledge for Andorra and France.

In a weird, round about fashion I have ended up involved in bringing a number of original Panda 4x4s back from Andorra and we are looking to do some off road on the way home in Andorra and France.

Doe anyone have any up to date route knowledge they would be willing to share regarding routes that would be suitable for Panda 4x4s on all terrains?

One of the chaps is very keen to possibly visit some of the Normandy WW2 sites too if anyone has any up to date information regarding those too- I am aware that it certainly used to be possible to visit some of these using greenlane type routes?

Best Regards

Chris

This site is a good source to find possible routes.

There is the “smugglers route” into the bottom of Andorra.

Done it years and years ago, and easily doable, but off road enough to be fun. Hopefully still the little bar, auberge halfway along where you get invited into what feels like the families lounge

I don't suppose you happen to have a GPX file for the smugglers route do you?

Trying to find the route online is challenging as there appears to be three separate routes labelled on Wikiloc as the the smugglers route!

Best Regards

For anyone who happens to be interested- If you pick up a copy of this months CAR magazine the article about the Andorra escapade is in there.
