Side steps on Defender 90 | |
These aftermarket side steps seem to be much easier to fit than others l've seen (including the LR ones) requiring no trim panel removal or breakage/ replacement of plastic clips.
Has anyone tried these, l may order a set unless someone tells me a
reason why l shouldn't.

hi, my thought is to go with a standard kit, like the one tested by Land Rover, even if not original but of good quality. between the work illustrated on this sheet and that relating to the original system (you can find it on the net and also the video thanks to the Friends of Powerful uk), there will be an extra hour of work. you don't have to worry about the clips, with 10 euros you buy 50 original ones, moreover the original fixing system includes a horizontal support with two bolts, which should make the system more rigid. simply in my opinion, it is not worth installing an untested system for one hour less work. with the instructions, the assembly of the kit is simple, there are already the signs where to cut the plastics.
