Series 1 spotted.
Saw this one in the local shopping centre car park yesterday. Didn't get to speak to the owner. The headlights look to be modern LED units.

LED headlights will make it much more driveable and it is an easily reversed modification. Many of the other mods which that vehicle has had would be more involved to reverse, it is a bit of a "bitsa" - it looks to me like a post SI bumper, it has a fully-floating rear axle, 1953 wings with a 1951 grille, something odd has happened to the No 2 crossmember which makes me think it probably has a different engine (perhaps a Holden). All of which adds up to a vehicle which has had a long, colourful and no doubt productive history and one which has already lasted longer than most of today's Landrovers will.
Long may it continue.

The Holden motor conversion was popular for Series LR's back in the day, with original engined ones commanding higher resale prices today.
