Hi there, thanks for that,
A lot of googling and it looks as if it's programmable feature only |

So, if the mirrors are frozen l assume they are designed such as the mechanism won't be damaged by the attempt to move them.

There’s a bit in the iGUIDE that states that if a mirror folded out is knocked or manually folded then the mechanism disengages to avoid damage to the motor. Unsure if it works the other way too but it’s possible. https://instagram.com/bentheoandrews

Well, you'd hope so or there'll be a lot of warranty claims !!

Seems odd that a simple function can’t be disabled. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

May I suggest a pair of mirror bags/mits might help you gents out https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/124000340053 or https://www.amazon.com/lebogner-Waterproof...B081ZJVG74
Or you could find a couple of bags to place over your mirrors. With the Freelander 2 I have the same problem and find that a squirt of silicone spray around the folding joint helps no end in preventing icing up. |

Frustrating, can start and warm car remotely, then either have to faff around sorting mirrors or drive off without |

Seems to have done no harm to mine. had to fold/unfold them to get the mechanism to re=engage. Think that's mention in the manual |
