Need front door lock barrels that match factory locks
Hi guys, i have two damaged door locks on my 2005 Defender 90 TD5, both driver and passenger door.

Wondering if anyone knows how to replace the original locks that match the factory key?

I phoned land rover pentland in Scotland but the barrels are on back order so the wait is not known and cost would be £180.

If anyone could help that would be great, due to not really wanting to change ignition barrel and all locks just for the sake of it.

The only way is to replace the damaged barrels with matching ones, unfortunately, which as far as I'm aware can only be ordered through LR.

Changing the ignition barrel isn't too bad if you go in prepared with a new bracket and bolts so that you can hack the old one off. Darren

You can buy a lock set, 2 doors and ignition barrel with two matching keys for about 130, cheaper if you want the cheap looking keys. You obviously need to fit there items, but they at least be new. I am planning to do this as my doors open with about any key. Look at LRParts, but you can probably get at many places
