[For Sale] Defender 110 td5 Genuine Twisted 9 seater CSW
Update: keeping it. Unless sold this weekend. £27k

Sad day, but unfortunately I've been persuaded to part with one of my Defenders.

This car is about as original and as close to concourse condition as you can get.

Apart from regular maintenance this vehicle underwent a 25k complete rebuild at Twisted Headquarters in Thirsk in 2018 than again a further 4,650k of work in May this year. (All paperwork and receipts present)
It is absolutely immaculate both inside and out with not a sign of wear and tear or corrosion in any way. -
The following by work was performed by Twisted in 2018.
A complete repaint of all body, roof etc..
Performance is improved with an ECU remap along with a straight through single silencer exhaust
Chassis is immaculate and fully protected inside and out
Door handles are Billet and body matched
Audio has been upgraded to DAB by Twisted with improved speakers
The car has been Fully soundproofed to a level I have never seen before making this one of the quietest defenders I've ever driven.
Again Twisted added a fresh new carpet professionally applied that still looks new.
Practically all seals, Nuts, bolts, clips, seals and bushes have ben replaced.
Suspension has been hugely improved by adding Twisted's progressive suspension package
5 of 18" twisted sport wheels and BFG tyres (as new)
All brakes and brake pipes have been replaced again by Twisted's brake package.
All 4 doors were replaced with new bringing this car to concourse condition
And a whole host of other minor things
Total value of works with receipts £25k

In May this year again the car visited Twisted for some paintwork to the window, steering work, heater box work, a bit of rust removal, new seals and a full service totaling just under 5k

Youtube video of a walkaround available at

This car is original inside and out but improved in every way. I know Twisted have a reputaton of overpriced bling, but this one is absolutely lovely inside and out. Not bling, just class.

It's just not getting used, sat in the garage under cover and needs a new home.

On Autotrader for 32500 ovno, but happy to let it go to a good home on here where it will be looked after for just under 30. It's a lot of money for a 20 year old car, but I'm not joking when I say it is immaculate in every way.

Looks great. Have you approached Twisted about buying it off you?

The only reason I say it is because I know they are looking for good quality TD5s so worth a chat.

Saw this in the flesh the other week and it’s really does look fantastic. I wouldn’t be letting it go (think it’s nicer than your puma).
I would seriously look at a more specialist selling site such as silverstone auctions as some defenders go for silly money and his might just be the thing someone is looking for. With all you have spent on it you could hopefully recoup a bit more.

Hi Jon
Thanks for the compliments. Yes it's a shame but one of them needs to go and the puma is just better for lugging things around being a utility.
This one is more the weekend (wedding) car with the extended family.
I'm in no rush but just want to to go to someone that appreciates it and most importantly keeps it in the same immaculate condition.

Cheers Procta. Thumbs Up

I don't think this is a car from a newbie but you never know. Unless you know what you're looking at it's overpriced. If however you were to buy a 12-15k one and professionally correct every tiny little bit of rust, mark and put it back to near perfect factory, then you end up with a cost a lot higher than i'm after. It's all relative.

I showed him the photos of this, and the little right up about it. Also i told him why the priced like that too, He liked it and was very surprised on how much space they have at the back end. I did mention to him, that you can buy cheaper ones, but as you say you will have to work the problems etc. Where with this one its ready to go like hence the price. He said its up to our lass if she will want to pay 30k, as this will be a family car.
He has two Subaru Impreza's that are high spec, so this would be right up his street. Thumbs Up
Not sure if he will roll the dice yet, he was going to sign up on here to have a bit of a look at some point.
Where abouts are you? he was asking that was all Thumbs Up Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back
