Airtec

Hi all

I need a full size intercooler for Millie, 300 Tdi sooner rather than later, has anyone tried an intercooler from Airtec, i have heard of the firm, but know nothing about them, they do intercooler's for a 200 & 300 Tdi's, any information gratefully received, many thanks

Well respected outfit. I know of a couple in Td5 discos running 240+ bhp with no issues. WARNING.

Needless to say if it's replacing a std IC , then make sure the radiator is tip top, as it will be mostly blanked off. But no doubt you are fully aware of this. If you go for it, then of course a full picture laden write up will be expected

I'm hoping to replace my Allisport full size intercooler as it has another hole in it

I have a full size Allisport radiator on Millie

I think Allisport spot stuff is a bit hit and miss, My EGR blanking kit i got from them, wasn't really worth what i paid for it, it seemed too cheaply made for the price. Even though it does the job.

L110CDL, sorry to hijack your thread, just wondering how the airtec intercooler is working out for you compared to the allisport version? I am trying to decide between the two.

No experience of them on a Defender but one of my friends has his own tuning company and has sold hundreds of them for minis and he rates them very highly

No worries there TomB8, sorry that my reply is a bit late

The Airtec intercooler that i put on Millie is really good and with more than two years fitted and loads of miles with it, imo it's far better than the one it replaced. I had it checked over a month ago to rule out another problem with Millie and it's in A1 condition
